Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Help a beloved, hand-baked brand grow without losing its roots.
The Opportunity
Bobo’s is growing, and we’re looking for a strategic finance leader to help shape what comes next. As our CFO, you’ll be a key partner to the CEO and Board, owning the plan, the numbers, and the story behind them as you drive profitable growth and enterprise value across in-house baking, co-manufacturing, and sales in natural, conventional, club, mass, and ecommerce channels. You’ll also use AI and automation to build a finance function that scales faster than its headcount.
About Bobo’s
Bobo’s: baked from the heart. On a rainy afternoon in 2003, Beryl Stafford and her daughter “Bobo” baked oat bars that soon became a Boulder, CO cafe favorite. This humble oat bar has since captivated loyal fans nationwide, with no compromise to the original recipe, small-batch baking process, or mother-daughter tradition.
Working at Bobo’s is a labor of love. Our values guide how we show up every day: Collaborative, Adaptable, Passionate, Winning, and Fun-Loving.
What You’ll Do
· Own the long-range strategic plan, capital allocation, and EBITDA roadmap, and give the CEO and Board clear, candid recommendations.
· Keep Bobo’s transaction-ready with clean audited financials and a defensible quality of earnings, and lead lender, investor, and Board reporting.
· Own manufacturing finance for our Loveland bakery (standard costing, yields, variances, weekly plant cost reporting) and partner with Operations and Procurement to lower COGS.
· Make every trade dollar work harder: own gross-to-net, lead trade reviews with Sales, and run a disciplined deduction recovery process.
· Lead the annual plan, rolling forecasts, 13-week cash flow, and S&OP, along with a focused set of KPIs that drive accountability across the Leadership Team.
· Use AI and automation to speed up the close, reconciliations, AP, and forecasting, own the finance tech stack, and teach your team to use AI well.
· Keep the foundation strong: a timely US GAAP close, solid internal controls, a clean audit, and ownership of tax, insurance, and enterprise risk.
· Lead Human Resources, and oversee our outsourced IT provider and outside counsel so our people, systems, and governance are ready for growth.
Who You’ll Work With
You’ll report to the CEO, serve on the Leadership Team, and work closely with the Board of Directors. You’ll lead the Finance, Accounting, and HR functions, including the Controller/Accounting Manager, HR Director, and AP/AR/deductions staff, and manage our auditors, tax advisors, lenders, consultants, outsourced IT provider, and outside counsel.
